La Grave

Nora and I took a train for the last few days of our break to go see her uncle in a little town in the Alpes between Grenoble and Biançon. It was gorgeous. We didn't do any skiing because its too dangerous there and plus it isn't advised to be anywhere within a 5 mile radius of Nora's uncle when he's skiing, he's been known to start the random avalanche from time to time. It was great fun, I didn't want to leave, the weather was so beautiful. But alas, here I am back in rainy Angers. At least it reminds me of home.

Elisabeth comes to visit

I had the honor of showing Elisabeth around town on Tuesday. We had lunch at the best crêperie in town and took a tour of the castle which has one of the best views of the city. Then we each bought a bottle rosé at the Maison du Vin d'Anjou. The region has some pretty great wine. And we ended the night with pizza and board games night at the Anglophone Library. Scattergories...woohoo!

Paris with the New Yorkers

After going to visit the family, I spent a day in Paris with Katie and her friend Chris. I ate breakfast at their amazing apartment they had rented, we saw the Musée du Moyen Age, the Sacré Coeur, ate at a restaurant in Montmartre, and had a bottle of Veuve Cliquot at Hotel Sezz.

There was even a little wetsuit thing to keep the bottle warm!

I felt so chic.

Joyeux Anniversaire Pauline!

I went to Feuquières for a few days and we celebrated Pauline's 12th birthday. Good French cuisine, as usual, and they made me take a picture of the cheese plate for Jake.
