Rouen

This is the beautiful cathedral in Rouen which Monet painted at least 4 times from the same view. We were pleasantly surprised by this city, and had a great time checking out the Musée des Beaux Arts and just walking around.

Shana comes to visit!

We visited the chateau together, one of the coolest things to see in Angers because once you get to the top of the towers, it has the best view of the city. Then we went to the maison du vin with Meagan and then to lunch at this new chic café called novo. Shana got the entrecôte with roquefort, which turned out to be a much bigger hunk of steak than we'd expected! We shared a crême brulée for dessert. Mmmmm...

Lunch chez Sophie

One of the two coordinators at the foyer lives right
by the course of the race, and was actually volunteering for it, so she let us shower at her house and made us lunch! She spoiled us.

8K race at Nuaillé

Sébastien and I trained for this race in the months leading up to it. It was in a village about 45 minutes outside of Angers. Meagan had arrived the night before and ran with us even though she didn't register. I did it in 39:24 and got 94th out of about 300 participants. Séb was just in front of me and Meagan was just behind.
